On My Holiday I Watched.....Skyline

When giant machines appear in the sky, radiating a bright blue light that entrances anyone who looks at it to be dragged upwards into it, it is clear that disaster is on its way. Alien ships descend onto Los Angeles, flying machines sent down to search buildings for any humans. No one can escape.

This movie was hard to write about, because it was just another 'alien invades big city a group of people are left will they or won't they survive?' films. Sure, it was good effects, but the acting kind of sucked (sorry!) and *MINISPOILER* i felt like one of the main characters died way too soon and not dramatically enough. I felt like, if you're gonna kill him then do it with some big action scene.

With all the sci-fi films out there, this wasn't that memorable among all the rest. It was good though, fun to fill time. But, apparantly, there is going to be a sequel? (I think!) And since it was left on a cliffhanger, I think i'll be up to watching the next one.

Oh yeah, and this movie gives a BIG HINT about where i went on holiday, for those who actually are trying to figure out;)

On My Holiday I Watched.....Insidious

'Its not the house that's haunted.'

I always give descriptions for the movies and books I see. But this was too hard. Because there wasn't a simple summary I could do without giving away everything. 
I watched it at night, in a large pitch black room with the windows open and the air con on, and the volume high. It was me, my brother, my cousin and my cousin's girlfriend. And we were all so scared by the time it finished. The music was enough to make your skin crawl - screeching violins getting faster and faster. All four of us were huddled on a sofa, trying not to look but you know when something bad is happening you want to see? oh yeah, and its a pg 13, but we thought it was an 18. so yeah, its sososososo scary.

This movie wasn't the type with gore, and blood. It was phsycological, what might be around the corner, what might be upstairs. it gets you thinking, which was horrible. but if you like that, then it was quite good.
